Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo “ A Series, “ No. 88|
On Friday, April 27th, Antiquorum and Audemars Piguet toasted the start of Watch Week with a special preview of 50 exceptional Royal Oaks offered in Antiquorum’s May 13 auction. The event, held at the Audemars Piguet flagship boutique, celebrated the iconic model’s 40th anniversary. Guests admired the extraordinary timepieces while discussing Antiquorum’s upcoming watch auctions.
The exceptional collection presented included some spectacular models such as The Royal Oak Jumbo “A Series,” No. 88, a Royal Oak Jumbo Retailed by Bulgari that had previously belonged to the President of Venezuela Carlos Andres Perez as well as a diamond set 18K white gold Grand Complication, Piece Unique No1/1.
Guests were treated to champagne and delicious hors d’oeuvres prepared by Tastings NYC. Mr. Francois-Henry Bennahmias (President & CEO, Audemars Piguet (North America) Inc.) started the evening with a humorous speech followed by Antiquorum’s Julien Schaerer who spoke about the rich history of the Royal Oak and some of the special timepieces offered in the May 13th sale.
At the event, guests had the opportunity to try on the watches on display and speak to the experts about the exceptional collection. The evening was a great success and the guests particularly enjoyed discussing their passion for collectible modern and vintage timepieces.
